  VDR Integration OEM Kits

 

OSI  engineers have developed and tested hardware and software components  for Voyage Data Recorders and offer them as OEM kits.  These include a Protected Data Capsule (PDC), Bridge Alarm, Microphone, Audio Recording Kit, and Video Recording Kit. These modules conform to requirements of the latest International Maritime Organization (IMO) resolution, satisfy the IEC 60945/61996 Specifications, and  have been integrated by VDR makers into Type-Approved VDR currently available on the market.

  • VDR Protected Data Capsule

    • The Protected Data Capsule is the VDR's recoverable hardened solid state memory. It is protected against fire, shock, penetration, and submersion to 6,000 meter depth seawater.

     

  • VDR Audio Recording Kits

    • The Audio Recording Kit includes VDR components such as indoor and outdoor tamperproof microphones, audio preamp-mixer and electronic switch, PCI-bus audio analog-to-digital converter, and software. 

     

  • VDR Video Recording Kits

    • The Video Recording Kit includes VDR components such as an Electronic Video Switch for for radar and/or video signals, a PCI-bus video capture board, and software.

     

  • VDR Alarm Monitoring Kits

    • The Alarm Monitoring Kit includes a panel-mounted VDR Bridge Alarm Unit that has visual and audible alarms, as well as a 4-digit alphanumeric display that identifies the source of the alarm, and software.

     

  • VDR Data Recording Kits

    • The Data Recording Kit includes an expandable VDR data acquisition system with plug-in  modules for Opto-isolated digital and analog inputs. 

     

  • VDR Data Remote Access Kits

    • The Data Remote Access Kit includes VDR components allowing wireless access to the VDR data for offsite monitoring, testing, and maintenance of the VDR system.
